July 21st- 22nd- Arizona Highland Celtic Festival
The festival will be held at Foxglenn Park –4200 East Butler Avenue, Flagstaff, AZ 86004
The Arizona Highland Celtic Festival celebrates music, culture, history and heritage of the Celtic Regions of Western Europe including Asturias, Brittany, Cornwall, Galicia, Ireland, the Isle of Man, Scotland and Wales. Bagpipes and other traditional instruments, Highland dance and Irish dance, genealogy, educational and fun workshops, heavy athletics, a living history area, traditional foods and merchandise vendors, and a magical kid’s area are mainstays of the celebration. Kids of all ages enjoy the internationally famous OATMEAL toss that is oopy, goopy, and loads of fun!
July 21st- Yoga on the Lawn @ 9am
Yoga will take place every Saturday at 9am, on the County Courthouse lawn. Whether you are a beginner or experienced yogi, this event is perfect for all levels! Come get your fitness on in beautiful downtown Flagstaff!
July 21st & 22nd @ 2pm – Taming Of The Shrew
A young and impetuous fortune-seeker named Petruchio meets his match when he crosses wits with his bride-to-be, the brilliant and independent Katherine. Schemes are hatched, dowries won, and freedom lost in a madcap romp that explores family dynamics and the meaning of love, and questions how we treat others. Always funny, sometimes shocking, and occasionally appalling, “The Taming of the Shrew” has been one of Shakespeare’s most popular comedies since it was first performed.
